Outdoor walking. How much time does your child spend outside? Daily walk for Recall your childhood. How much time did you spend outside? How much time does your child play in the yard? Today, the values of childhood have changed. After all, back in the old days it was impossible for parents to call their children back home, and now the parents are begging them to go for a walk. And if mothers with children under three years old go for a walk every day, the older children prefer gadgets and computers, because they consider them more interesting than playing with peers outside.

 However, constant staying indoors with a gadget in hand is harmful not only to the eyes. The child is constantly slouching, which over time will affect the posture. Electronic games overwrought the kids sensitive psyche, disturbing their appetite and sleep.

Children and adults both need thirty minutes of daily walks. Because during the walk, you:

  • Breathe with a fresh air. Even in populous city the air is cleaner than in the building.
  • Clean the lungs from substances that have accumulated during your stay in school, garden or office.
  • Even the winter sun gives us vital vitamin D, which is essential for children.
  • Walking is the best sporting exercise that improves the work of all organs and systems.
  • A walk in comfortable shoes strengthens immunity and the cardiovascular system;
  • Daily walking with your baby improves your metabolism, and fortifies your child.
  • Sunshine and observing the various objects in the distance while walking is a great way to prevent myopia.
  • Outdoor games improve children’s sleep. That is why it is necessary to walk in any weather.

Outdoor walks are also a powerful tool for child development. Always describe your child the surroundings on the way to the sandbox or park. Name the colors of passing cars, names of trees, objects, birds. When you list the objects that you meet on your way, the child remembers them and develops his/her vocabulary.  Imagine that during each walk the child will get new knowledge, develop fantasy and vocabulary. In fact, children understand much more than we think. The main thing is to be able to hear them and answer their questions. Then your child will grow into a smart, erudite person. If you cut the question short, the child will turn into an adult with low self-esteem and depressed interest in the surrounding world.

 Soon the day will be longer and you will be able to go out with children and rest together after a day of work. Dress the children in comfortable clothes. Be prepared for the baby to get dirty. But nobody's canceled the washing machines yet. And the emotions that your baby gets from splashing in a puddle or showering into sand are worth your trouble.

    On the playground, moms often scold their babies and don't allow them to collect different stones and twigs. “Don’t!”, “You’ll fall!”, “Don’t run!”, “You’re too small to come down this slide”. There’s no doubt that there are a lot of dangerous objects around for little fidgets. But only after trying and feeling, the baby will be able to explore the world and develop his/her abilities. Therefore, it is important to find the “golden mean” between the danger and parental hyper protection.

Find the time to go out together not only with preschoolers. Pupils also need to distract themselves from their lessons and phones. We have already found out that walks are useful for parents and children. So how can we get the kid interested in going out, and getting off the World Wide Web? Make a walks with surprises. Come up with something different every day. On the way to the park, offer to buy ice cream and enjoy watching the natures awaken from overwintering. Next time, take the bubbles with you. Let the child blow them, and you will catch them. Play soccer together, or paint on the asphalt. Teach how to ride a bike, play badminton. Turn a walk into an adventure that a pupil will look forward to. Look at the world through the eyes of your child. What did you want to do at your son or daughter’s age? What did you dream about?

The child is a time machine, which brings us back to the past! Don’t lose your chance to feel like a child again and give the dearest a happy and healthy childhood!
